My Vote

All the different timings of conferences have their advantages but this last one was my least favored. I feel like that you helped me with my rough draft instead of my actual paper. This might be partly due to my personal circumstances but even if I were able to be further along than I was it still would have been in the rough draft stages. The conference where we met one week before was perfect. It gave me plenty of time on both ends of the creation.

As for who I will be most looking forward to hearing at conference, that is a tough question. I have always had some favorites that have remained constant and then some that capture my attention for a while. I always like Elder Scott's choice of subjects but with that said I think I will have to pick Pres. Uchtdorf. Why? Because I am always entertained and taught well by how and what he chooses to compare his gospel principles to. He is always able to create a picture and often a movie in my mind, it's like going to the movies! I am a very visual learner and his talks remind me of sitting on my grandma's lap as she turned the pages of my favorite stories. The stories that she would read me, just as Pres. Uchtdorf's talks, did not have pictures and so in my mind the words would form the pictures, feelings and a story that would give me something sweet to think about for the next couple of days or weeks. The stories my grandma would read to me were usually fables that had deep meaning if you wanted to think on it or not if all you want is entertainment. So it is with Pres Uchtdorf's talks, you can read them again and again and each time sift out and apply a deeper meaning or comparison. Stories is how my mind works. Stories and comparisons make the principles better remembered and easier for me to apply to my life. I also like that he is not afraid to share his humanness too!  Thus making me feel closer to normal.
