In class rhetoric

Kelsey's in class rhetoric is professional enough that we know she's the teacher but light hearted enough that we all can see her as a friend.  Her approach to everything is very authoritative and understanding. As students, it is easy to pay attention to her way of teaching because she keeps things simple and concise. I never feel bored because Kelsey makes sure to keep away from being redundant. If we ever go over a topic more than once, it seems as if we are learning something new. We always do different examples that can increase our understanding. Another thing that helps us stay attentive is how often she asks questions and makes sure to listen and understand each question and comment a student wants to make. I feel as if it is easier to succeed in this class because Kelsey builds up to the big projects by having us do simple assignments and criticizing them. Every piece of advice I have been given thus far has been useful in some way, shape, or form. I believe that it is easier to trust in Kelsey knowing that she cares so much about all of our needs and our success. At first, I really hoped that I would be able to test out of this class, but I have come to realize how much I have learned. All of the readings that we have had to do have helped, and they are great references when writing papers. It's a great class and it really isn't as stressful as I believed it would be!
I feel like everyone is saying this but I am being serious when I say that I LOVE this class. I actually look forward to going... which is a whole new feeling to me. It is kind of warm and fuzzy... very strange. Very strange indeed.
No but seriously. I feel like I am learning a lot, and Kelsey's teaching style can take a lot of credit for that. She is super funny when she talks, which at least for me, is very effective. I have about the same attention span as a snail. Therefore, humor does wonder. Hmm what else? Oh, I also really like that she asks questions. I know everyone is saying this, but it makes me think and kind of teach myself which is good. However, she isn't so humorous that it hinders her credibility. I know this because she does reading quizzes. I will admit I do not necessarily like them, but they were successful in their purpose because I actually did my homework.
Honestly, I would just say.. keep doing what you are doing because it is working. Thank you for an awesome class!
I honestly thoroughly enjoy just about everything about this class!  As was said earlier, I love how Kelsey teaches by asking questions.  This is without a doubt the best way to teach, there is even doctrine behind this teaching method, as The Lord always teaches His servants by asking them questions.  Furthermore, her questions always have purpose that get us involved.  I find myself participating in this class so much more than I do in my other classes, and this is not due to any extra effort of my own.  I just find myself naturally more engaged.  The way we discuss new writing strategies and go over work and practice in class is never dry.  But this isn’t just thanks to the teaching methods.  Kelsey’s fun personality helps make the class enjoyable, and it makes it easier for all of us classmates to bring out our personalities as well while we discuss material, which makes us all work together in a fun and productive manner.

I’m sure many will disagree with me here, but I honestly really liked how we had a lot of reading towards the beginning of the semester.  All the reading we had taught me lots, and the new tools I learned from the reading gave me so much more confidence as I began writing.

The only two things I would change about the class are first that we stock the classroom with those spinny chair/desks from the library room, and second that we have blog posts due any night other than Friday or Saturday night.  This is definitely not a big deal, it was just tough for me to remember the blog post the first few weeks since I wouldn’t do it before Friday and I forgot when Friday night and the weekend rolled around.  Hence why I’m doing this extra credit blog post.
I think Kelsey is a good teacher.  I really like her teaching style and how she is pretty laid back.  I like how she asks really good questions to get us thinking about the concepts and how to apply them in our own papers.  It helps me to learn a lot better.  I especially like how she creates a comfortable learning environment.  It makes even a writing class somewhat enjoyable to come to everyday (no offense).  I feel like she actually cares about what she is teaching us and wants us to succeed in her class.  This is especially evident with the one on one advice she gives us.  I think it is really helping me personally develop as a writer and it helps me actually want to be a better writer and not just get through the class.  Another thing I really like is how she is always asking the class how she can improve as a teacher and how she can run the class better and help benefit us more effectively.

Overall, I enjoy the class.  I think Kelsey does a great job.  Right about here I would start giving some critique but I can't think of anything really right now so I am just going to stop.
I think Kelsey is a great teacher. There are several things that I like about her teaching style, such as how she teaches with questions. This is a big deal for me because I love teaching and I love being taught with questions. I hate it when teachers just get up in front of the class and talk for the entire time. I learn so much less than I could if the teacher would ask questions. I also discovered this on my mission and would try to ask questions that help people teach themselves. Good questions are a powerful teaching tool and I think Kelsey does a great job with that. I also like how she keeps the class upbeat and enjoyable. It seems like she can feel when class is getting boring and will do something to change that. Too many teachers are oblivious to a boring class and they'll just go on and on and continue to bore people. Kelsey can recognize when it's getting dull and makes good changes that keep class interesting.

I'm having a hard time thinking of bad things about the class. It's great! I know that sounds dumb and I wish I could think of some improvements to mention here but I'm not thinking of anything that is a big enough deal to mention here.

Mrs. Kelsey Smith

Rhetorical Analyses for Kelsey Smith

First I would like to mention the strong points I enjoy. You portray confidence with the subject and the students. This is demonstrated well as you are able to take all comments, current media and events, and bring it to the subject being discussed while creating a comfortable and interesting learning environment. I also enjoy your ability to bring everyone's personalities to the learning experience including your own.

Before I list the weak points I feel I should disclose that I have not been in an English class since 1977 and if I were using that class and teacher to make a comparison, and to be fair, I would also have to disclose that my teacher would move me to a different seat almost every other day in effort to find someone that I would not talk to (she was unsuccessful which might explain why writing is such a struggle for me). Not surprisingly, she decided to retire at the end of that year so in her honor my friends and I found out where she lived and toilet papered her house (we did get caught by the police who confiscated our remaining toilet paper).  With that said, truthfully, I am having a difficult time coming up with something for you to work on, I will just have to leave that to someone with better background in writing than I!
